Hi ,

I made a mistake at the bottom of my post.... I said "

the helmets that they attach to you AREN'T filled with holes "

I meant to say " That the Helmets they attach to you ARE FILLED WITH HOLES!!!

Sorry about that.. I guess my brain was out to lunch

MRI brain scan

Hi ,

I think my brain scan lasted 30 to 40 minutes. My brain scan was with

" Contrast " and " Without Contrast " .

And as Barbara said they do announce when the next sequence of bangs and taps

will start. And there is always the panic button if you have problems.

I also wanted to mention that it might be a good idea to bring a picture with

you, so if they don't have anything in there for you to look at, you can tape up

the picture that you brought with you. It will help you to relax. Just bring

your favorite pic, one that will keep you relaxed.

Like I said in my first post to you, I have always done very well with the

MRI's but my last one was not. I don't know what happened but I definitely went

into a panic mode. The helmets that they attach to you aren't filled with holes

all around it, and nothing to be afraid of. Actually that will most likely be

the one thing that doesn't bother you at all.

Good Luck, when is this MRI?

Hugs,

Ann-Marie

Hi Ann Marie,

I kinda figured that was what you meant. And I did just call and make the

appointment. It is for Friday at 4p.m. That was a lot faster than I

thought. Actually they could of taken me tomorrow but I already have a PT

appointment and don't want to miss that. Now I need to call and make an

appointment with a foot doctor while I am on a roll.

And don't worry about your brain being out to lunch, mine is always out!

haha ACtually we should make an appointment to have lunch together

sometime:)

Smiles to you,

MRI brain scan
