Strap Broke

Does anybody know how to get ahold of Jay Markell? The strap on

Olivia's clubfoot shoe broke last night and I don't know what to

do! I'm going to take it into a shoe repair shop today and see if

they can rig something up for the next three weeks. We'll be back

in Iowa then and getting new shoes, but in the meantime, I can't let

her wear these with just the laces for three weeks. If it was the

nonclubfoot, I would probably do that, but she needs the strap on

the clubfoot. I just had a thought! I wonder if I could switch out

the shoes and put that one on the nonclubfoot side just to get us

through? The buckles will be on the outside then, but I could live

with that for three weeks. What do you think?

I'm not very optomistic about the shoe repair place. The last time

we had a problem and I took it in there they refused to work on it

because it was an orthopedic shoe. I don't know of anybody around

here that carries these shoes.

Anybody have any other suggestions? I know this topic came up just

a few days ago. I'm really disappointed in this shoe. Our last

pair lasted well over a year and were still going strong. She's

only been in these shoes for six months. As it is, I already have

duct tape around the bar to hold it for the next three weeks because

she snapped off one of the clamps. We only need another three

weeks!! Why couldn't these things have waited?!?!?! Sheesh!!

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
