Re: Gestational Diabetes on top of everything else?

Has anyone been diagnosed with getstational diabetes after having WLS? I made

the mistake of eating a pancake with syrup before a Doc's visit and now they

are worried i'm not processing sugar right. (Duh) Does any one have any

experience with this? I know that if i overload on sugar (more than 20g of high

fructose) then i have what i call a " diabetic moment " where my heart races and

i can't think properly for about an hour. After 2 hours life is good again.

what have ya'lls doctors done to test for true gestational diabetes without it

coming out false negatives or just plain goofy? Please email me.
