Guest guest
We flew to California (over 5 hour flight) when my son was 7 months old. I had his bar on since it was a night flight. Of course it beeped and security came over. They wanted us to remove the bar, which I didn't want to do and started to get semi-hysterical. So, they ended up patting him down and let us go through. But, I had the tools to adjust the bar in my diaper bag which they would not allow us to bring on board. My husband then had to go back out to the curb and check one of our other carrry-ons. Guest guest
If you put it in your regular suitcase, it should be fine. If you decide to bring it in your carry on, they will more than likely ask you to take it out so that they can look at it....easiest just to have it out when you're going through the check-in and put it right onto the conveyor along with the rest of your stuff. Guest guest
We flew with Zoe's when she was 3 months old, so on 23 hours/day. We went through security with it on and they just used the hand held detector on us, after calling the mgr over. Guest guest
Our Flight is around dinner time, so I wasn't going to have him wear it, plus he's so heavy to carry with it on through the air port if he did have too. He's at least 30 lbs. Although it would be a good time for him to get in those makeup hours he needs, plus he has to sit during the plane ride anyways, it may be worth a try...however he calls them night night shoes, so I'll have to think about it more. Maybe I'll put them in our carry on so I can put them on him once the flight is on its way. Although this is terrible to say out loud because usually I love to educate people and make them aware of clubfeet, etc, ... but I really don't feel like haveing people stare at him and explaining clubfeet for the whole 2 hours, I really just want to take advantage of 2 hours we can sit as a family and talk, giggle, etc...our flight is on Christmas Eve...and I just want to enjoy the holiday.. we will wake up Chrismas mornig at his grandma's & PaPa's house....Santa bought most of the gifts online and is shipping them there. We fly back on new years eve...so we will be home in time to let Collin bang his pots and pans...then New Years day we are celebrating Christmas with his local grandparents....so it will be a really fun, hectic week.
