Interesting that you should mention O2 producing free radicals.

They just talked about that on the ER episode last night in

reference to giving patients with head injuries 02. The doc

specifically mentioned the paradox of it causing more cell death due

to the 02 increasing free radical production. They actually drew a

pic of mitochondria too !

Wouldn't it be cool if someone managed to get them to do an episode

on a mito patient ER visit? Maybe THIS is the way to educate the

public -- through a drama series! (ER has a very large viewing

audience, so maybe I'm only half kidding here).
