Guest guest Posted October 8, 2004 Report Share Posted October 8, 2004 Hi , I need some help. A friend of mine is in the Hospital. Yes, she has a confirmed dx of Mito. They have her on sodium cholride ? but they won't add the D5 or D10 to the fluids. She called me and asked me to find the article by Dr. Cohen were he states to use D5 or D10 added to the fluids. I for the life of me cannot find it. She needs the website address also, so she can give it to the Doctors at the Hospital to look up. She is in a major crash, and is vomiting alot, with only stomach fluid coming up. They won't give her the food she wants, they keep putting gravies and sauces on the meats, and such. She has complained but it isn't helping at all. She doesn't have a Mito doc, and they won't take any direction from her Pain Management Doctor other than for her pain treatment. So if anyone can please help me and find that article for me so i can call her and give her the website address I will be greatful.
