length of bar

Just wondering what everyone's experience has been with the length

of the bar causing sores or just a fussy baby who has trouble

adjusting to the bar. We haven't had the new brace and shoes on

since Sam was fitted last week due to his sores still healing but it

seems that the brace holds his legs really far apart; which is the

opposite of how he naturally holds them. I am planning to measure

it tonight to see if it is wider than his shoulders. Do you measure

from the center of the heel?
