Hi Lori,

I am almost 23 weeks pregnant. Up until last week I hadn't gained any weight

and had actually lost 13 pounds since becoming pregnant. I found I couldn't eat

much without becoming very full to the point of becoming uncomfortable or

vomitting. It was like when I first had WLS 2 years ago.

Something changed this week because I almost ate a whole grilled cheese and

turkey sandwich and am starving all the time. And I have now gained back 2 of

the pounds I had lost!

I do try to ask myself am I thirsty or hungry. I drink something and if I am

still hungry after that then I will feed myself.

I think I still have problems getting the hunger/thirst signals confused....

But if you are hungry eat! Just don't eat bad things!

always hungry!

Can anyone explain how come I seem to be able to eat so much more

than I could before pregnancy??? The actual quantities of food have

increased alot. I have noticed alot of you saying you could eat more

while pregnant, but after you had the baby, your pouches went back to

normal. How is this possible? I feel like mine is stretched out

beyond repair. I am really getting nervous! I have already put on 10

pounds and am only 14 weeks. My doc only wants me to gain a total of

15 - 20 pounds all together. Its not looking good! Help!!!

Crystal,

I'm soooo glad you posted to Lori's post because I am at 12 weeks

and am just like you were - where I feel like I can't eat. I take a

bite or two of something I really think I want and just can't eat

anymore. It's been a little upsetting but now I know that I can

look forward to being able to eat again in the future - as you've

shared - it makes me hopeful. Not being able to eat is not fun. I

feel sick and usually go and lay down after trying because I feel so

bad - almost like dumping without the hot feeling - just nauseous.

Thanks for giving me hope that I will be hungry again.

Smiles,

12 weeks today
