I have the same machine that Laurie has and alsu use a heated humidifier. This prevents me from developing sinus infections. I can't even imagine a night without my CPAP. I bet your husband will appreciate it too but not as much as you will. The machine both Laurie and I have is very quiet although this doesn't mean a thing in the world to me as I wouldn't hear it if it sounded like a train coming thru my room.
