Guest guest
I am so relieved that we went to see Doctor Ponsetti. It was the most pleasant experience! What a gentle, caring man. He had 2 German doctors and 1 Brazilian doctor in with him working on our little Ava. He put her in casts and said to come back the following monday to go to bracing. He took one look at the shoes and bar that my ortho prescribed and shook his head. He said that it was all wrong and he hoped we can take them back. He couldn't believe how short the bar was and measured her shoulders and the bar just to show me how far off it was! He told me that could cause a lot of pain and I said it sure did cause a lot of pain. Of course, without it, I would not have found this group and you wonderful people who pointed me in the right direction. I am so glad that we went to Iowa. If you are questioning it yourself, and you need peace of mind, just do it! I hear Angel Flights are free, so what do you have to lose? I have been on the phone with my local television station to try to spread the word about this wonderful group and that other mothers going through the same thing aren't alone. I will also be calling my ortho tomorrow to offer some 'encouragement' to get some more training from the master. Dr. P personally invited my doc to go there, so I will share that info with them. This won't be easy to do, so please say some prayers. Thanks again for your wonderful help, support, and encouragement. Without you I wouldn't feel so relieved right now to know that Ava is getting the BEST care possible!
