Guest guest
Hi There, My name is Jackie and I am new to this group. I have to say that I am VERY worried about the health of my baby. I have called my bariatric surgeon and it has taken him several days to get back to me. I just got a call saying that I need to see a special High Risk Doctor. This in and of itself worries me. I went to see my regular doctor for the actual pregnancy test and he put me on prenatals. He didn't seem concerned at all about me being pregnant and nine months out of surgery. I am sort of lucky that I can eat more than most Bariatric Patients and even before I got pregnant my weight loss had slowed. I don't feel at all like I am depleted. But, I don't have an appointment with a regular OB for another two weeks. I am trying to eat healthy and take my prenatal vitamins but I don't know if my baby is malnourished? I am so worried and cry about this a lot, it doesn't seem like I am getting any support or concern from any of my doctors. If you have any advice pleast let me know. I started at 285 and am now 215, but since I have been pregnant any weight loss has stopped. I am trying to follow the best-odds diet in " what to eat when you are expecting " . Is there anything else I can do? Thanks a lot Jackie
