Guest guest
I can see where you would be worried. I do know that ultrasound measurements can vary depending on where they place those little arrows and even then they are not really that accurate, they can only give us an estimate. I will have you and your baby in my prayers. I hope you get your next appointment quickly to help ease your mind. Guest guest
I had my 2 stage ultrasound last week. The one where they measure everything on the baby. First the tech had a hard time cause the baby was on his/her stomach so she said i would had to come for a follow up at a different office which i thought was strange to find out yesterday when I went to see my OB for my normal check up that he is a perinatologist (spelling). My OB had told me that the measurement on the babys femur and arms were short. I was just numb when he said that I didnt ask what the measurement were and what should they be. So I am freakin out now. From what my friend told me who used him to deliver her daughter if he were concerned that he would send me to someone right away. I had also taked to the Genetics counselor they had me see and she said being my blood test came back negative for down syndrome which my OB said was good news that it may be that the measurement could be off a very slite bit and it could be nothing to worry about but being my age which is 38 how can one not but worry. So now im suposed to wait til my OB sets up an appointment with this Perinatologist at my OB's office so he can recheck the baby and explain everything in detail. Anyone had anything like this happen to them and how did it turn out?? Any help would be greatly appreciated. EDD 7/15/
Guest guest
With my first pregnancy I didn't know when my last period was so they were watching me carefully. My son was first too small then too big....Don't worry I'm sure if it was something major they would have you in right away - at least that's what they have always done with me.
