Guest guest
I agree with you! This is our bodies, and how we deliver, as long as it is safe, should not be up to the guy. JMHO
Guest guest
Chrystal, No apologies are necessary at all. It really isn't a controversial subject unless someone replies in the *tone* of being condescending to someone because they had or preferred a c-section. It wasn't the first and I can guarantee it won't be the last debate. It shouldn't even really be called a " controversy " since mostly it's each individuals own personal opinion, experiences and emotions. No one should be made to feel bad about the choices they make or don't make. EVER!!! I don't know how old your husband is, but he sounds incredibly childish (no offense meant). you wrote: " My husband wants me to go for the VBAC because his mother had her 6 children that way and all of his 5 sisters have done it this way. He makes me feel like a failure because I had the c- section although I know he doesn't mean to <--- you should tell him that you are NOT a failure because you produced a healthy child and that is what to be thankful for. you wrote: " with the c-section my hubby will be disappointed with me " <---- he needs to mature (grow up) and realize what the important thing is------> a healthy baby!!! no matter how it gets here. It really astounds me how men can have such argumentative and and negative feelings and comments when it comes to something that they have no clue about- PREGNANCY AND CHILDBIRTH!!! It's OUR bodies and they in no way, shape or form should make US feel bad. *Grrrrrr!* I wish you the best of luck with EVERYTHING (and everyone)!!! Guest guest
I should add something here before it gets blown out of proportion as well: I wasn't meaning ALL men, just the ones who would try to make their wives/gf's feel disappointment if in the end they must have a c- section. " It really astounds me how SOME men can have such argumentative, negative feelings and comments when it comes to something that they have no clue about- BEING PREGNANT AND GIVING BIRTH!!!
