Jen,

When we had the Markells our orthotist cut a hole in the back so that

I could see if Ethan's heel was all the way down and he cut the hole

so that the seam would have been in the middle of the hole. I don't

have the shoes anymore because I donated them to a member of this

group when we got the s. I will get a hold of her and see if

she can take a picture of them for me and I will send it to you if you

want. Just let me know!!

Dear Jen et al.,

We will soon be coming out with another version of our open-toe boot

which will have a cut-out in the heel area. This will be offered in

the smallest sizes from 0000,000,00, 0, and 1 in Narrow, Medium and

also a Wide width. This is the age and size group who seem to have the

most problems right after casting, in the first few weeks and months

of DBB wear. We are hopeful that the cut-out heel, along with the

padding around it and the slightly higher topline, will be the answer

to those babies who have had problems with rubbing and pulling out.

The 3 different widths should better accommodate the skinny, normal,

and very pudgy feet. We hope to have these new models available in

late February. As always we are committed to making a quality shoe

that works, is comfortable, and is also affordable. We appreciate all

the feedback, and continue to listen and to fine tune our shoes.
