Guest guest
Just joined tonight and wanted to take a moment to post. I know a few of you but most I do not. I am 3 years post op RNY with Dr. Pilcher in San . I lost 212 lbs and rebounded about 25 depending on what time of the month and how good I've been on my carb intake. I go up and down with it but I am very pleased. I joined because my husband and I have decided to try to have a baby. We have an appoint on April 12 with a fertility specialist in Bedford. I had both ovaries surgically removed in 1998 due to cysts so we will have to go with invitro. Fortunately I work for BCBS of TX and they pay for infertility treatment and in vitro. SO I figure I need to start gathering information and learning. I have concerns about nutrition and all of those normal post WLS pregnancy things. I feel good knowing that I am 3 years out. I have had a tummy tuck. Yeah I know I should have waited but I really had not planned on having another baby. I've always wanted one but did not have insurance that will pay like what I have now. Anyhow that's why I joined. I am sure I will learn a lot of wonderful information from you all. Thanks. Guest guest
Ginger, Welcome and congrats on your weight loss. I a nearly 3 years out, (7/2/2001), and we are currently pregnant with our first child. I didn't get the tummy tuck yet because we knew we were going to have children. I just hope that my insurance doesn't get sick of paying for the plastic surgery before we are done, LOL! Good luck on you quest to have a child and I'm sending positive vibes your way that it happens very quickly for you and your hubby.
