Guest guest
, I too was in your same situation. My husband has smoked for 20+ years and when we met 3 years ago, he told me he was going to quit. Well, just NOW, 3 years later, he has finally quit. He's been off them now for 3 months and although he has gained 35# I still love him and am so glad he doesn't smell like cigs and smoke anymore! He never smoked around me or the kids, he always went outside, but you could smell him a mile away when he came inside. From the minute our baby was born, I always made him wash his hands before he touched Christian. I don't think much if any of the tar/nicotine would absorb through the baby's skin just from touching him, but I didn't want that nasty smell on my Baby Magic Baby!!! Everyone wants their baby to smell just like a baby, not an ashtray! Anyway, to quit, he went to his family Dr who prescribed Wellbutrin. He took that pill for 2 months without success, so finally when we bought him the Nicotrol patches, he was able to use the pill and patch both to quit. I know your anxiety & feelings!
