Question about kids

Hello everyone,

I've seen that a lot of you already have children and seem or seem to

have experience witht hem so this question is kind of for you. I'm

due with my first in about 2 weeks and I'm finding myself in a

panic. House isn't ready yet, things aren't clean enough, still

buying baby stuff...etc. My big concern is about pets though. I

used to adopt everyone's strays and have quite a few animals, 3 dogs

and 3 cats and 2 ferrets. I know ferrets and kids don't mix, but the

little furballs are caged and I take them out only for supervised

play so i'm not all that worried about them. The kitties and dogs

are a concern though. Do any of you have pets and kids? My mom is

making me all paranoid about it as if my dog is going to run off with

my child and eat it. I'm hoping she's just being a mom but she's

said it so often it's made me all paranoid. I don't want to get rid

of my furry babies (They've been everything to us up until now) but I

don't want to endanger my little girl. Any views or advice?
