Hi ladies I have been gone for about a month. Taking care of the wee

one is such a treat and I cannot bear too much time away. Especially

since I have to go back to work next week. BUT now I have had to

wean him - actaully I went cold turkey - off the breast. He is doing

great and actaully seems to be better with formula - less gas,

sleeping better, etc. So any tips on helpign to reduce engorgement

and the pain (oh that pain is bad). This is day three of weaning.

Any ideas are welcomed!

Maybe a hot shower or hot towels and sleep with your regular bra on, not the

comfy nursing one.

Massage is important so that you don't develop a blocked duct, but at the same

time you don't want to massage so much that you cause a huge let-down.

HTH!

If you are wanting to dry up your milk, the best advice I have, and did it the

last time I was pregnant, was to take a couple of cabble leaves and put them

into my bra. My milk was gone within 24 hours. I don't know why this works,

but it does.

cabbage leaves... I don't know where fingers learned how to spell, but they need

to go back to school!
