Hi everyone!!

I have been a member for about a year, but didn't bother posting

yet, because I wasn't pregnant, nor was I trying. I was enjoying

reading the posts. Now I am trying to conceive so I thought I might

become a little more involved.

A little about myself. I live in Agawam, Massachusetts. I had a

Roux En Y in April 2002, and I have lost a total of 175 pounds. I

started at about 325, and I am down to 150. I am 5'9 " , so I am

wearing about a medium, and sizes 8-10. I have a 3 year old son,

and I am happily married for the last 7 years. My husband also had

surgery in July of 2003, and has lost over 120 so far. He looks

great.

I would like to hear from anyone who may have had this problem, and

if you can tell me if you have had a difficult time conceiving.

When I tried to get pregnant the first time, I really had no

problem. It took about 4 months of trying. However, I never had

any irregular periods up to that point. Since I had my son, I had a

few strange irregular periods, like bleeding a few days earlier, and

it continuing on through the week it was supposed to be in. After I

had my surgery, I started really getting irregularities, like

bleeding two weeks on, and two off. I was on several different

birth control pills, shots, and the patch to see if anything would

help, and I even had an ultrasound to rule out other problems.

Nothing seems to have worked. Now we are trying to conceive, and I

am wondering if the problem I was having with my periods could be a

clue to something worse, like an ovulation problem.

Can anyone tell me about their experiences with this?

Thanks,
