Guest guest
I have alot more knowledge now and some sites to read on about my thyroid meds. I am thinking I may just do this. I never did continue with because I was too overwhelmed having twins ( kinda shocked actually) and was not prepared to switch over at all. I do need to check with the pediatrican (OB suggesteed this) to see how they would want to check the baby and how many times, that will be like the major thing that helps me decide. I know I will not be comfortable breastfeeding in front of anyone so that is why I would only want to do it part time. I have huge saggy boobs now that I lost 140 pounds. I just am not comfortable with them at all. I know I would love the bonding time breastfeeding in private will give me. The other thing is my hubby works all the time so I am pretty much a single parent of the other 3 and taking them to cub scouts, school things, bday parties and cub scouts, I would not want to BF in front of any of these people with my large droopy boobs. But I think I am going to try it some and see how it goes...Thanks again everyone for all your help. I am going to read the sites you all gave me too, Thanks Abby for adding them to the group info line. Guest guest
Robin, I think it's wonderful that you're going to try bf'ing. (I'm one of those wacko bf advocates btw). I think all women should at least try it since you can always change your mind and stop bf'ing, but you might lose your chance if you don't do it from the beginning. At first bf'ing was really difficult and painful for me, but I worked really hard at it and now it's wonderful. I used to only be able to nurse in certain positions with special pillows, etc. But it's gotten much easier and now I'm comfortable nursing anywhere. I fed today at the food court in IKEA. It also gets easier and easier to be discrete about it. And I'm no small breasted woman - 42DDD. The more comfortable you are with nursing, the easier it is to do it in public without anyone even noticing you're doing it. I think you have a great plan to nurse a few times a day - I think you'll really love it!
