Hi Liza!!

Have you tried...

Cator Oil??

And they say the best way to get labor started is to enjoy the activity that

got you preggo in the first place!! Make sure you " O " :)

That will get the uterus contracting and produces a natural form of pitocin.

Sending you good easy birthing vibes!

5 days overdue

Hi everyone,

I don't find as much time as I certainly wish I had to come on here,

but I am going stir crazy. I am now 5 days past my due date. I lost

part of my mucus plug about a week ago. Then all day yesterday I was

losing my mucus plug and having about 1-3 contractions an hour, most

of the day. Finally around 7pm they stopped. Haven't had anymore

contractions since. I'm so disappointed because I was sure I would be

in labor today.

I'm taking EPO orally everyday (midwife said I was very soft on

Monday, but not effaced)and I'm drinking about 4 cups of Red

Raspberry tea.

I've read about doing nipple stimulation, but I'm afraid of bringing

on contractions too strong (and with 2 kids, 7 & 5 I don't have the

time to committ & relax for that). Midwife said we would schedule

induction for the 9th if nothing happens. I really don't want that.

My other two were late, but I had hoped that my being 150lbs less and

in such better shape than I was when I had them, I would have an

easier time going into labor and maybe even delivery (wishful

thinking, I guess).

Any suggestions?

Muah!

I hope that baby comes out of there for you really soon. I know Madison was a

week late and I was ssoooo uncomfortable, I was ssooo fat to start with

before I was prego, I could not wait for her to come out. Good Luck with

OMG do not do that!!! It is very dangerous and brings on the worst hardest

labor of all. Sex is always good if you can get that!! BUT whatever you do stay

away from castor oil, I have first hand experience with it, my sister did it.

Nipple stimulation does bring on contractions, but not necessarily

will throw you in to labor. Although if you are soft and lost the

mucous plug, then it might work to trigger things. Sex helped us

along a little with our first too, although I'm not sure if it was

the actual sex or coincidence....lol. Hang in there. I would

definately say there is no harm in trying those if you want to try

and not be chemically induced. Good luck and baby will be here

soon!!!! :)
