Guest guest
Hi, I posted a few weeks ago regarding my 15 month old son who has club feet. We saw Dr. Dobbs today who said that he should be able to have his feet in a good position within 2-3 casts, then possibly a heel cord release, casting for 3 more weeks (I think), then on to the brace. Dr. Dobbs is wonderful, as many of you had told me he would be. He seems very genuine and I feel as if I can trust with him...which I don't say about many of 's doctors. Dr. Dobbs also mentioned that with 's age, he may only have to wear the brace 23 hours a day for 1 month or so. Then decrease to nightime+naps (around 14 hours a day). Dr. Dobbs casted today and he's having a horrible----I cannot stress enough------a horrible time with this. He can't stand with the casts, can't get into/out of sitting position. He's been super fussy since the casts were put on (I don't blame him). He doesn't even want to sleep! I just hope he adjusts quickly. Thanks!
