Guest guest
I have noticed that my birth experience since I had WLS is very different from when I was over 300 pounds. I seem to be treated with more respect and kindness this time around. My ultrasound technicians have not ever bruised me - like in my pregnancy with my son or ever been rough with me. Assumptions about pigging out and bad eating habits do not happen at all. No comments about high blood pressure or diabetes. Has anyone else noticed this or is it just me being overly sensitive? Guest guest
I have to say I have always been treated well by all my docs even when I was 378 pounds. I'm glad you are being treated well this time around. Guest guest
I remember I went to one of those walk-in clinics to get a pregger test and exam. The doc (I sear she must have been just doing her residency) couldn't even manage to do a proper pelvic exam...like she couldn't even insert the instrument! (moron!) And then she blamed it on my.... " girth " !!! I was so extremely hurt and angry. At the time I weighed around 230 - it's not like I was 600 pounds! *sigh* Anyway....my OB (a REAL doc) had no problems whatsoever! ha!
