Post Op Pregnancy & Hernias

I have a large incision hernia right now and also a groin hernia and my OB

says I may just have to get me a binder to wear, he is not really concerned with

it. My surgeon says he will just fix it after the baby is born. I guess as

long as it is not bothering you it can wait. Good Luck,

Hi,

I've been lurking awhile, but my husband and I are considering

having another child... is 5 1/2 and I'm 23 months post op

(Gastric Bypass) I'm down 125 lbs and holding steady...around 190

lbs.

Anyway...I have a small incisional hernia right at the end of my

incision above my belly button.

My surgeon said I should fix it before pregnancy.

My OBGYN said that was NOT necessary.

Any advice from past experiences from any of you ladies?

I had a hernia during my pregnancy. It never bothered me. I had a planned

c-section and they fixed it at that time. Good luck in your decision!
