Guest guest Posted September 22, 2003 Report Share Posted September 22, 2003 monozygotic means from the same zygote (eggs and sperm are called gametes, when they join it's called a zygote)... so it's the fertilised egg. (identical twins come from the same zygote, fraternal twins from different).
