They did retinal angiography and the vessels were determined to be alright it was caused by optic neuritis and the visudyne theraphy was dropped. I have talked with my n-o about this and he said it is a salvation for those with abnormal vessels. I have no idea about this affecting your mito, but would think the stress of losing your vision would be a worse trigger for problems than the procedure. Best wishes for your vision.
