Guest guest
Hello everyone. My name is . I had RNY 3-5-03, I started out at 252lbs and now at a wonderful 132lbs. I had a check up about a month ago and my Dr said he was happy with my progress and doesnt want me to lose anymore weight. He also discovered that I have a Hiatal Hernia. I had scheduled the hernia repair and tummy tuck for January 16th. HOWEVER...I missed my cycle this month and decided to take a home test. This test came back positive and so did the next 3 test I did. I think I am still in shock. My husband and I have been trying for about 7 years with no luck, so you can see where this may be a little shocking!! I am thrilled and so is my husband. I do have some concerns about nutrition, of course, but more so about the hernia. Has anyone or know anyone who is pregnant with a hernia and how are they doing? Any advise or coments will be greatly appreciated. Since I have a hiatal hernia and just found out I am pregnant, how will the pregnancy be effected by the hernia or the hernia be effected by the pregnancy? Thank you RNY 3-5-03 252 now
Guest guest
Congratulations on your pregnancy , this is wonderful. I currently have a big hernia near my pouch and also one in the groin that I had schedule to had surgery after the new year but now I cannot either. The docs do not think this is going to be a problem, that the baby gradually pushes everything out of the way and it should be okay. Everyone is different though so just have the doc keep an eye out for it. You will be fine I am sure. I am excited for you, I was infertile for years too for no reason and now have 3 kids nad 1 on the way HUGS, ROBIN, NY Age- 41 Due Date- July 27th, 2004 OPEN RNY 10-18-02 378/246/170??? Guest guest
, There is at least one other woman in the group who has a hernia and is pregnant and she is doing great! She will probably answer more of your questions than I ever could!! Congrats on your pregnancy, and just try to eat healthy! Everything will work out!
