Hi Laurie,

I have looked all over the UMDF website, and cannot find the article you

suggested. That is the one I have been trying to find. Why can't I find it when

I need it the most??

This is the one I was looking for. No wonder I couldn't find it, it was in 2000

that he wrote it. I didn't look back that far.

I hope she can get the treatment she needs to, but I am not sure. Her stats went

down to 83% so they put her on oxygen last night. She doesn't sound well at all.

Hi Laurie,

Yes, I got the article. And you are right it is good to know that it is also

located on the Mitolides website. I wonder who put it there? Whoever did

I don't know who knows her or not, but the friend is Ann Eide from Mississippi.

She isn't on this list,(she is on the Mito list for kids) but I am sure that

some of you probably know her.

The doctors finally added the D5 to her saline solution, and they also added

potassium b/c her levels were low. So were her magnesium levels. They have her

on oxygen because her stats dropped to 83%. She said her stats still drop to 83%

with the oxygen. They plan on doing an MRI tomorrow to see if she had another

stroke. She is on pain medication but she is still in pain. They won't up the

pain meds b/c they say she is on enough, but Ann said the pain meds aren't

helping with the pain she has.

Thank you to everyone who helped in tyring to locate the article by Dr. Cohen.

By supplying the website to the Hospital Doctors they read it and added the

dextrose to her IV fluids. So this is good!!
