no, don't wake him if he's sleeping. If there's a problem he'll wake for

you. You can also check him when he wakes for his normal feeding, I'm sure

that'll be soon enough. Unless he's upset, they probably aren't causing a

problem. Just pay attention to his mood for now. I can't imagine that

he'll sleep through the night if they're bothering him, but you never know.

Great news that he's doing so well though! Congrats on getting out of casts!

Did it go okay? We had to move our appointment to Monday because the

s weren't ready in time. I am bummed because DR. H won't be there

Monday. Also, I want these casts off so bad. Please let us know how

Christian is doing today and if he made it through the night. Are his

legs sensitive at all?

Thank you for the advice Kori. I have one more question. I can't tell if I

am getting his heels all the way down into the bottom of the shoe. Is it

possible to put a little cut in the heel of the shoe so that I can see for

sure if its down?

Hi ,

I asked about and Carla said you had to cancel. Dr. H said he is

going to Italy for a week and a half (which I am sure you already know).

Things went okay yesterday. He is still trying to adjust and so am I. He

didn't sleep bad last night but he did get up about 4 times. I checked his

feet this morning and there are red lines. I left them off as I was

directed for the one hour and gave him a bath, rubbed them down, put lotion

on them and put the shoes back on and he didn't seem to have a problem with

sensitivity. Dr. H said to get some cotton for my ears on the way home. We

will need a few days to get through this. I have to be strong.

Good luck on Monday. Who will you be seeing? Dr. Lamm?

I think most persons said the 1st few days were the hardest. So if you

look on the bright side, 1 down-2 to go. He will adjust and before you

know it, he will be his happy little self again. You asked about cutting

a whole in the heel. I know others have done that. Also, they make the

model with the heel already cut out.

We see Dr. Lamm on Monday. The shoes arrived there today, so we just

missed Dr. H. I will let you know after Monday how it goes. We will be

in the same boat you are in right now.

Hi ,

I just read your post. I didn't know there was a model with the heel cut

out already. I am going to look into that if I don't get better at this. I

feel like I need to adjust to this also. Anyway, I hope things go well for

. Let us know how she does those first few nights.

Our shoes were drilled with a hole before we ever got them. I don't

know what I would do without those holes! I just wish they were

bigger.

Hi ,

I checked 's feet once the first day and we have been 23/7

since! In my opinion, it is too much of a hassle to keep taking

them on and off. Plus, with the difficulties she was having those

first few days, I wasn't going to keep putting her through that.

She has not had ANY problems!

We are due there at 10:00 on the 5th -- yeah, we finally will meet :)
