Guest guest
They have these things that are like little sleeping bags. They have straps over the shoulders and the rest is like a bag. They are warm and keep the baby warm at night. It worked well for us and we were able to use with the DBB at nighttime. Ours came from Switzerland, but I saw the same thing at the Walmart baby section the other day. Oh, they also make them with long sleeves. They come one size fits all from 's baby store. THey are made really big and Jordan was able to wear hers at night with her DBB long past her 1 year birthday. Hope that helps. s has a website www.carters.com to locate a store near to you. > > Question for you guys. Sidney did really well her first week or so w/ > the DBB and sleeping. Guest guest
Some ideas... I think some parents have tried infant " sleep sacks " , or " wearable blankets " .. zippered outfits roomy enough for the bar to fit inside. I think they are designed for SIDS safety. Others I believe just use heavier pjs and no blankets at all. Glad things are going well so far! > > Question for you guys. Sidney did really well her first week or so w/ > the DBB and sleeping. Guest guest
Amy, I noticed on the picture that you posted on the cfpics group that Sidney has the long bar that sticks out from the sides of the shoes. I would guess that the blanket is getting caught between the bar and the shoe, huh? Perhaps you could get your orthotist to order you the Fillauer red adjustable bar? I can't imagine having those " wings " sticking out the sides of the shoes like that- I know I'd be banging them into everything if my kid would have had that style of brace! Just an idea..... I hope you can find some sleep sacks! &
Guest guest
You know , the more I think about it, I bet it's the sides of her bar getting caught in the sides of her crib that is waking her up, rather than the blanket. We'll ask about the adjustable bar or if my husband can cut off some of that additional length. I tried those sleeper sacks w/ my first child and got up one night and the top was up over her mouth and she looked like she was choking, ever since then I've been a little weary of those. But, may have to revisit w/ Sid. Thanks everyone!
