Guest guest Posted March 1, 2004 Report Share Posted March 1, 2004 Hi tte, I didn't really gain any weight on the norplant but I did start having migraine headaches. So I started taking imitrex when I got them. I had no periods about 2 monthes after the Norplant was installed. So it was nice no periods for 5 years but then when we wanted to have a baby my period wouldn't start for 3 years after having it removed. I have no scar from when it was removed from my arm and the implant was not painful. I think that the pill works for some people really well. I used it up before the Norplant but I was not good at remembering to take a pill at the same time everyday. Chrystal Wife to Jace - together 6 Years! Happy Mommy to - 4 Years Old! I have a question that maybe you can answer. I have posted a few times but not getting alot of replies. I am curious as to what type of Birth Control you may be using or what your dr. recommended. I was wondering if the pill is safe enough for WLS patients and what your choices were that you felt were going to be effective. I hope I can get some good ideas from new and old moms as to what the best choices are. Seems most people either don't know or don't want to elaborate on this question.
