Guest guest
When I took Christian's shoes off this morning his left foot was bright red and it turned bright white when I touched. This was a first for me. Did I put the shoes on too tight???? Is this normal??? I am very worried. Guest guest
, Is there any chance there was something (leftover soap, etc.) in his sock? I'm horrified to say that we once put Devlin's sock on top of a pile of stuff on the windowsill and it turned out to be barely touching an oil lamp...the sock acted like a wick and sucked the oil into it. When Rick was putting her sock on a little later his hands were wet so he didn't realize the sock felt strange... Needless to say, 14 hours later (and an emergency trip to the pediatrician's) Devlin had 3rd degree burns and was perscribed burn cream. She recovered in a few days but we'll never do anything like that again! I'm sure nothing like that happened to you, but don't rule out the " non-clubfoot " issues like a simple skin reaction to soap. Good luck, > When I took Christian's shoes off this morning his left foot was bright red > and it turned bright white when I touched. This was a first for me. Did I > put the shoes on too tight???? Guest guest
the whole foot? If so, that's kind of odd. Did you change socks or something? Guest guest
Hi , Our daughter has been in her shoes 23/7 for a couple of months now. The tops of her feet are always red when I remove the shoes. I think it started about the second week she started wearing them. From what I have gleaned on this site, it is nothing to worry about (her dr. aho is Ponseti certified said the same)...as long as she dosen't get blisters. She hasn't had anything even close to a blister so I know she is ok. I did loosen the laces (not the strap) a bit when the reddness first appeared and that seemed to help a bit as I had them really tight, but the tops of her feet are still always red when I remove her shoes and it doesn't seem to bother her at all. Hope this helps ease your mind, isn't it amazing how we worry about everything!! The joys of motherhood lol ) - Mommy to Grace 07-21-04 unilateral RCF 23/7 > When I took Christian's shoes off this morning his left foot was bright red > and it turned bright white when I touched.
