Guest guest
, it seems to run in families. My dh had a nephew and daughter (previous marriage) both tongue tied. I once had a step-son that was tongue tied as well....not that he is related to my tt'd baby.....but in the case of that child and my step-daughter, neither were clipped and had some pretty bad speech problems. Both needed extensive speech therapy. My step son finally had his clipped when he was about 8 years old. Early on they thought he was deaf cuz of the way he spoke. He got beat up on the play ground a LOT for " baby talking " , it was really a sad situation. When we discovered Everett's tongue we were adamant to have it clipped so it would not interfere with his speaking. s. Re: Tongue Tied Related to Clubfoot??? I agree that it's not related, good thought though you never know what causes these things to occur in some people and not others. My brother had it, he was tongue-tied until he got his wisdom teeth pulled it went unnoticed until then, and he wasn't born with club foot.
