My husband who was left to watch Christian last night for 2 hours and he put

his shoes on so tight that he cut off his circulation. When I came home

Christian was hysterical! He couldn't even breath he was so upset. Mike

insisted it wasn't his shoes (and stupid me believed him). I spent hours

trying to figure out what was wrong and calm him down. Finally, we called

the Pediatrician who instructed us to go to the ER. At that point, Mike

started to get his coat on and I said " Hold on one second! " I took his

shoes off and both feet where reddish purple!!!!!! I WAS LIVID!!!! At that

moment the baby immediately started to calm down. I massaged his feet and

got them back to a normal color. I cannot believe my husband!!! That poor

baby!!!

I just needed write this and get it out of my system.

Hi , I'm so glad you were able to figure out what was wrong.

It seems we are back in the new mommy stage when baby's crying you go

through that list to find the reason. No fever, Diapers dry, not

hungry, clothes aren't pinching or scratching, now we have to add

shoes to that list. :) I've had to gently nudge my husband into

recognizing that maybe that last hole really was too tight...hehe!

Men!! :) On our " new mommy " checklist, those darn shoes have been

moved to the top of the list now when he starts crying. Before, every

cry was because of the casts, now it's the shoes. Hehe!

Good luck and hang in there! I hear it gets better! :)

Hi ,

Your husband probably had it drilled in his head that tighter is

better and was trying to avoid blisters.
