Hi ,

My view is that yes, I would be worried about the one out of the cast and

out of FAB for 3 weeks. I would watch that foot very closely and do a lot

of stretches (though this may not do much... Dr. P doesn't hold much with

PT). From what I have heard they usually cast both feet if one is relapsing

for just this reason.

Probably nothing will happen and hopefully it won't and that foot will be

back in the FAB really soon (?). If you are having any trouble keeping that

foot in the FAB later on I would contact your Dr asap.

good luck & keep us posted!

Query bilateral talipes but one in plaster

again

Hi, I haven't posted for a while as things have been very busy. A

big hello to everyone that knows us.

Well was one yesterday ;)

has bilateral talipes. As of a fortnight ago his bad foot

went back into plaster to give it more of a stretch. It isn't too

bad overall but bad enough to warrant this. My concern is about his

other foot which, although still maintaining is flexibility in terms

of dorsiflexion, has not been in its dbb now for 3 weeks.

The reason hasn't had the other foot in plaster is because

he is walking around albeit with a walker, and has been no since he

was 6 months old. It is felt by our physio that this will do more

good than putting this one in plaster.

Should I be worried about this foot at all, in terms of it not

getting the stretch etc from its normal 14 hours in a dbb? We do

stretch exercised during the day.

Look forward to your views.
