Guest guest
That is excellent!! Can't wait to see the pics. Mommy to 12/17/98 and Christian 1/30/04 _____ From: Lori Sent: Wednesday, September 29, 2004 7:02 PM To: nosurgery4clubfoot Subject: GOOD NEWS!! Update on Elijah!! Today we got the 2nd 3wk cast off (after the 2nd tenotomy on the same foot) and his foot looks wonderful. Dr Kelleher was very pleased with his range of motion and his skin looked beautiful underneath... just a little flaking but no irritation at all. So after 6 months of casts and an unsuccessful run w/ the shoes a few months ago, we're back in the shoes and he's not kicked them off in the last 7 hours!!!! THIS is an accomplishment compared to last time when he could kick them off right after I put them on! I.AM.SO.STOKED!!! Hes not crawling yet but hes scooting around like crazy. The shoes and the fact that he cant really move his legs independently doesnt slow him down one bit! I'll be posting before and after pics on the CFPics site! Guest guest
Lori, We are right behind you guys! is in her last stage of the casts (again) and then the shoes and bar will be back. We too experienced kicking off her shoes as soon as we put them on. I am terrified to go through that again, but hoping it won't be as bad as last time. I'm glad to hear Elijah is doing so well! Keep us posted as time goes by. and 3/2/04 bcf -last set of casts! after 2nd tenotomy. Shook Retail Operations Manager/Baking Instructor Vie de France Yamazaki, Inc. 2070 Chain Bridge Rd. Guest guest
The best of luck to you, our first night back in shoes was HORRIBLE last night. 'The kid that never sleeps' had just begun to sleep thru the night. Last night, he screamed no matter what I did. Id resolved to just let him sleep on my chest all night if thats what it took and he still screamed. The shoes arent showing signs of causing him pain and theyre staying on... so I dont think its a pain issue. I think its just that he doesnt like having them on to sleep.
