Guest guest
I'm pretty sure our's (s) started at a 70 degree but some months after that they moved it to 60. s. Angle setting for 's I was just wondering at what angle you have your shoes set at. I know the standard is 70 degrees for the Markell, but Dr. Ponseti has our 's set at 60 degrees. He said that the foot is looser in the Markell's and does not have as good of a fit as 's. Therefore, they only have to be set at 60. I was just wondering if this is standard with everybody in 's or does it just depend on the feet? Guest guest
Hi ! My son Ethan has been in his sandals since July and they are also set at 60 degrees. I never asked why as seems to work so closely with Dr Ponseti I assumed it was OK. Sorry if that isn't much help but if you find out that it should be different please let us know! Guest guest
Dr. Ponseti set 's shoes at 60 also.. He told us because 's feet were fully corrected he didn't need the over-correction.. ???? I trust the man completely so I didn't ask questions.. LOL -------------- Original message -------------- I was just wondering at what angle you have your shoes set at. I know the standard is 70 degrees for the Markell, but Dr. Ponseti has our 's set at 60 degrees. He said that the foot is looser in the Markell's and does not have as good of a fit as 's. Guest guest
Addisyn has been in the shoes for almosst 3 wks and Dr P put her @ 50 degrees. It's my understanding it is specific for each individuals feet. Good luck with them, we have really had an easy time so far! Guest guest
Hi , Ava was set at 60 when she was in the Markell's. They did not maintain the correction. She is now being treated by Dr. Ponseti currently in the 's R 70 L 60. The L is fully corrected but the R is not she needs another tenotomy in Dec. But I can tell you the 's are maintaining the correction so far even on the R. 1 week in the Markells and we could see she lost quite a bit of correction on the R. In all I think it just depends on the child feet. KK > > I was just wondering at what angle you have your shoes set > at.
