Guest guest
Edit: retitle to be more accurate. > Hi, I am writing for a friend of mine. She is here with her husband studying and doesnt speak much english. Her son is 2 mo old and has a FAB. She says that she has stopped using it because he cries non stop when it is on. After about 3 days of this she gave up and is trying to get back in to see the Dr. She talked to the person who fit the shoes and they wont do anything until the Dr. orders it. She says that as soon as they put the shoes on his legs turn red/purple, like they arent circulating enough blood, as soon as the shoes come off they return to a normal color. Is that normal? Any ways to minimize? > Larissa

Her legs would turn purple, it was the freakiest thing. Doc said it wasn't a problem, but it happened when I carried her with my arm under her legs under her butt. And in the sling. So I didn't sling her much and watched how I carried her. But it really turned out to not be a problem at all. She shouldn't not use the brace because of it. If baby is in pain, she needs to figure out why. But the purple leg thing didn't turn out to be a problem at all, I thought it was and kept asking about it but it was ok in the end. I asked about it here but no one had any experience, this is the first anyone has brought it up since Darbi was little and dealing with it. Have you sent her the tips post I sent a few days ago? If baby is crying like that it's very likely a correction or fit problem, and she can probably figure it out herself if she takes some of the information from there and the other tips stuff here and applies it. She can't stop using it. Baby WILL relapse. Baby either needs to be in the brace or in a cast. Period. Kori >Edit: retitle to be more accurate. > > > > Hi, I am writing for a friend of mine.
