... The first week that wore the DBB's, he slept in my bed, because

he too woke up every 20 or 30 mins. It helped to have me next to him to help get

him back to sleep. He has now worn them for 3 months and sleeps just fine by

himself in his crib. He has learned how to sleep on his side, back, or tummy and

is very comfortable in them now. It is just like part of his body now. As far as

the heels.. we still have that issue every once in a while. The only suggestion

that I have is to push down on his knees as hard as u can to be sure that the

heels are down completely. This really helps! Good luck and keep up the good

work :o)

& 2/9/04 BLCF DBB 23/7 for 1 more week!!!!!!!

Well today was bliss compared to the past two days. I only hope that I haven't

already lost correction because of the hours out of the boots. Today

was completely happy, and I have not taken his boots off at all, except for the

one hour to bath him.

I do find he has great difficulty sleeping though, and wakes every 20 minutes or

so. This has resulted in him not having had great sleep through the day, so he

is really tired now, and falls asleep quickly in my arms. I think tonight I will

pull him into bed with me, so that we can get through the night. I suppose he

will eventually learn to sleep in his DBB.

His heels still seem to lift quite a bit. I will send some photos to the CFPics.

I don't know if this is just because his heels have not fully developed, or if

it is because I am doing something wrong. But he doesn't seem to mind it any

more, and his blisters have not got any worse.

Well, if this keeps up, I probably won't worry with getting the shoes!

I'm hoping for the best anyhow!

So glad to hear it ! I was thinking of you but couldn't get online

(or to a phone lol) yesterday to see if you posted. I hope last night went

well and things are getting better and better for you. I like the take the

baby to bed idea, personally. It really helps everyone get much needed

sleep.

I just checked out the pictures, and he's really slipping a lot! Poor

little guy~! Hey, can you take pics of his feet without the boots and send

those to the CFPics list? I bet someone there will be able to look at his

feet and give you some advice. Take them standing weight bearing from

front and back, a pic of the soles (both) and one each of the profile with

you dorsiflexing his foot as far as it'll go. Also, send these to Dr.

Ponseti today so he gets them tomorrow morning. He'll be able to tell you

if something's still wrong.

It was really nice talking to you the other night. I'm so sorry it's been

so difficult, I can hear your pain and frustration so well. We'll get it

figured out though! Give JJ a kiss for me K?
