Guest guest
Dr. Frick told me that 10-15 degrees of dorsiflexion was ideal, but that the average baby treated with the Ponseti Method ends up with 6 degrees by the time all is said and done. He said that is enough for good function though. Freeman
Guest guest
Can someone give me an expaination on dosiflex? I took my daughter for a check up to day and the doctor said she was at 10-12 dorsiflex. He said this was good. Can someone explain what is good and what is bad? Thank You! and BL CF 12/16/
Guest guest
Hi , This is what I got from it....Dorsiflex is the degree to which the foot can be pushed upward toward the knee. My understanding from Dr. Herzenberg is that anything 10 and over is good. I believe this is what they base their decision on when contemplating a tenotomy. Someone in here will give you a more detailed description. I am not too good at this. Guest guest
Thats about it. I think the goal is 15 degrees dorsiflexion. 10-12 degrees w/out a tenotomy sounds like a good thing. Elijah had less than 5 degrees before his tenotomies.
