I am so sorry to hear that this surgery is probably in your future. I don't

have any info for you, but want you to know that you will be in my thoughts

as you make your decision.

Hugs,

laurie

I have not had this surgery and don't know anyone who has. It sounds very

complicated and the only reason I would do it would be knowing that this was

going to save my life, but that's my personal opinion if it were me. You

seem to have a very caring and knowledgeable team and having Dr Cohen at CCF

is a plus as well. I know that having 2 surgeries in a year have done a

number on me and I went into the last one before I was fully recovered from

the fist one. It is now 8 months since my last surgery and I'm just

starting to feel a little better but I know that if I were facing a major

surgery anytime soon, it would only be a life saving procedure as I realize

now that anesthesia seems to linger in my cells and my recoupertion is long

and difficult.

I'm sorry you are facing what sounds to me to be a complex surgical

procedure. Could you try to strengthen your system now by taking extra CoQ

and even Carnitor if you system handles these? I'd ask the neurologist

(maybe Dr Cohen) if you should do this.

Hugs!
