Guest guest
> Hi everyone, > My granddaughter who is 3 weeks old received her second cast by Dr Ponseti yesterday and has developed very swollen toes today. They are pink and warm but I still am concerned by the fact that they are so swollen. Dr Ponseti did mention that there may be some swelling and suggested keeping her feet elevated, which we do, but I was wondering how we are to know how much is too much swelling and when will it subside. My concern stems from the fact that Sydney used to fuss and cry when she was hungry or tired, but now only has a language of screaming no matter whar the problem. So it is hard to know if she is in distress. Please help us sort it out. > Ursula It sounds like she is fine as long as her toes are pink. What I was told was to press on the toes and they should go white and then get flesh colored again. If they go white, but don't get pink again then there is not good circulation. and bilateral clubfeet dbb 23/
