Guest guest
Well, kelsey's 3 week cast came off today and her foot is so beautiful. It looks a little odd because of the amount of overcorrection but she is doing great. Dr. Von Stein was extremely pleased because her foot was up to 25 degrees in flexion and she said that she would have been happy with 15 degrees. Kelsey is now in her DBB 23/7 and so far has been doing great. She was a little fussy earlier today when first trying to maneuver around in the thing but she quickly figured out how to stand and crawl in it so that got better. Her leg was pretty dry and yucky from being in the cast so when she took her bath tonight, I put a ton of lotion on it and it seemed to be doing better. She has been asleep now for 3 hours and went to sleep with no problems. Her shoe on the bar is set to 70 degrees out and she is doing great. I cried when I saw that foot bend today. It is the first time since her birth that I have seen that move without causing her pain. The old Dr. used to force that foot up and cast it and it was so painful for her. I pray that those painful times are behind her. Thanks for all of the support. Hopefully, I will get a good picture of her foot to post here soon.
