Guest guest
Hi, , my name is Dana, I'm new to the group and haven't introduced myself yet but felt compelled to write once I saw your email. I am also military spouse stationed in Germany and I'm 25 weeks pregnancy but I'm and oldie, I had my GB 5 years ago. My highest weight was 280 and lowest weight was around 127 lb. After moving to Germany 2 1/2 years ago I had moved up to about 160, I was o.k. with this because I was in a size 12. They say sometimes you go below your ideal weight and then come up to a weight your body is comfortable with that so I was o.k. with that. I am 36 years old and have 2 kids ages 10 and 11 and now the new one. I was deadly fearful of gaining weight but more concerned for my baby and it getting the nutritional needs. The German doctors hear keep reassuring me the baby will take what it needs but I still have fears every day. I have not gained alot only 12 pounds and they don't want me to gain more than 24lbs. total because of my high sugar levels. Some people don't even realize I'm pregnant which bothers me sometimes more than the gaining weight does. Email be privately and we can talk I'd like to know what area you are in and such. Dana brownsngermany@... New here. 9 months post op RNY - 4 wks PG and scared! Hi girls, thank God this place exists! I hope you will be able to reassure me that everything will be ok. I'd like to hear from anyone who has been preg. at 9 months post op and how it went. I am a military spouse and live here in Germany. My German surgeon was not full of info at all. He did say he had bypass patients who had babies, but did not give any more info. He kept telling me to talk to my OB. My immediate concerns are about my nausea. I normally have severe nausea and vomiting the entire pregnancy. (I have 2 children.) I had to be on meds. just to survive the last 2. I am worried about the vomiting and nausea and if it gets as debilitating as before, I wonder if I'll be able to get my vitamins down. I was not able to before. So far my blood work is excellent. I can eat pretty well, considering. About a cup of food at a time. I'm working out at the gym 3x a week and have lost 5 pounds this week. I go for my first OB appt. this coming Friday. Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated! Thanks, 9 months post-op RNY -105 pounds Children are a blessing, and a gift from the Lord. -Psalm 127:3 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Guest guest
Phyllis, Thanks for emailing me. I'm so glad that you are doing so well! So what has the doctor put you on? Are you taking 2 vitamins? I was wondering if I should just start taking 2 vitamins instead of just one. My first appt. is on Friday. I have been very nausous. I was hoping that the bypass would lessen it, but it hasn't. Lucky you! Thank goodness I have lost 105 pounds before this pregnancy, so I don't feel like a total failure. I'd just like to lose another 50 and I'll be happy. I feel pretty positive about doing it after the baby is born. Thanks for writing me!
