Guest guest Posted March 18, 2004 Report Share Posted March 18, 2004 My first two ultrasounds at 5 weeks and 6 weeks were very scary and sad. They saw a sac but nothing it in the 1st time, then a sac and fetal pole in it the second time, but no heartbeating. The 3rd ultrasound we saw the tiny lil heart beating away at 174 beats per minute! One of the happiest days of my life after having been told it was an ectopic and having surgery scheduled to have *it* removed. *it* is now 16 months old and we named him Christian! And just remember, even if they don't see anything the first time, make them wait and repeat it in a week. That will be the longest week of your life, but good things do happen sometimes!
