Guest guest
When I had trouble getting pregnant I went to a reproductive Endocrinolgist and had all that blood work, I had my tubes xrayed to find out they were blocked and I had to have them opened, I had the post coital testing where you ahve sex with hubby and then you go in the morning and they see how active his little guys are in your mucus and that was where they told me I had a problem, the cervical mucous was hostile and killed the sperm so they decided to do inseminations of hubbys sperm, his count was fine, I would take clomid for 5 days then have an US of my eggs and then go home for a hormone shot to release the egg and then go back in for my insemination about 36 hours after the shot. it was not all that bad once you got the hang of it but I still could not get prego and they had NO IDEA WHY. SSOOO, I GAVE UP after years of trying and no success and 6 months later found myself pregnant with TWINS ON MY OWN, NO MEDS, NO DOCS, Go figure!!!! I guesss it was all up to God to begin with and he knew when it was best for me. I never got rpego after my boys and went back to the reprod. end. and went for one round of Clomid with and IUI and it worked 1st time and I had my daughter. I never tried again and have since been prego 2 times that were MC and then here I am again at 41 years old prego ( 21 weeks with my boy) ON MY OWN again. SSOOOoooooo, Don't let them tell you it can never be done naturally, you may need a little help but millions of us women in America do. Good Luck to you and I hope eveything happens wuickly for you. Guest guest
, Whew! Sounds like you had a busy day yesterday. I hope that with all the tests they do that they find that you CAN get pregnant the natural way just so its easier for you and hubby. Do you think that maybe you should get a second opinion?? With all the stuff I have been through this last couple of weeks, and now Chrystal and her doc problems, I am learning that it is definitely in our best interest to do our research and not just accept the first answer a doc gives us. It sounds like your doc is reasonable because at least they respected your request not to have the GTT, thats a good sign that your doc is willing to listen to you. I am sending major positive vibes and prayers your way that you are pregnant soon!!! Axelrod Re: Reproductive Endocrinologist So, I had my appointment with th RE yesterday the took 9 vials of blood, and scheduled me for a billion tests. 2 different types of sonograms one with dye and one with saline. My husband has to go for a semen analysis and they want ed to do a Glucose Tolerance test. I refused this and explained why. The Dr. was OK with that. He said after all the results are back he would sit down with us and talk options. I was fishing for inf and he did tell me that I would be able to get pregnant, just not the natural way. I am not sure if this is good or bad... I am very nervous and a little sad about what I have ahead of me...
