Hi,

Thanks for answering me. I guess this is not an important issue for new moms

with WLS, but it is a very important issue for us. I was just wondering if the

birth control pill is effective enough for new moms with WLS. It seems with

this surgery that the body seems to absorb everthing much quicker than before

and is the pill safe enough. What other methods are you aware of with other

moms. Thanks.

Hi tte, I took BCP's for the first year after having surgery. Mainly I

took them to control dysfunctional uterine bleeding. They got it all under

control and I did not get pregnant until a couple of months after stopping the

pill. Never had a problem with it at all. Hope this helps. Terri
