HI MELODY, I DON'T KNOW ALOT ABOUT THE MEDICATION EXCEPT THAT I TOOK IT FOR

MANY YEARS WITH INSEMINATIONS(IUI'S) AND NEVER GOT PREGNANT AND I

GAVE UP TRYING AND 6 MONTHS AFTER GIVING UP I FOUND MYSELF PREGNANT WITH MY

TWINS WITHOUT ANY MEDICATIONS AT ALL. WHEN THE BOYS WERE ALMOST 2 ( I HAD NOT

BEEN ON BIRTH CONTRROL OF AND KIND) I DECIDED TO SEE IF WE COULD TRY FOR 1 MORE

SO I WENT TO MY FERTILITY DOCTOR AND THEY PT ME ON THE CLOMID AGAIN WITH AN

INSEMINATION OF MY HUBBYS SPERM AND I GOT PREGNANT WITH MY DAUGHTER THE VERY

FIRST TRY. WEIRD, I DON'T KNOW WHAT GIVES WITH MY BODY, HERE I SIT 20 WEEKS

PREGNANT WITH #4 AT AGE 41 ON MY OWN. MAYBE GOD KNEW IN MY YOUNGER DAYS OF

TRYING

THAT I WASN'T READY. BUT I KNOW IT WORKED REALLY FAST THE SECOND TIME AROUND.

GOOD LUCK TO YOU AND HUBBY. I HAD NO SIDE EFFECTS TO THE CLOMID EXCEPT MAYBE A

LITTLE EXTRA BITCHINESS FROM THE HORMONES, OR AT LEAST THATS WHAT I BLAMED...

Melody,

To answer some of your questions. I never had fertility problems

until after my WLS. Well, what I mean is, I got pregnant first time

by accident. 8 years later when I was trying to get pregnant @ age

36, I couldn't.

I took CLomid alone for 5-6 cycles with no results. I saw a fertility

specialist and had a truckload of tests/exams/surgical procedures

done as well as a sperm count for hubby. Those tests revealed I had

endocervical polyps that the sperm were probably trying to penetrate

before they realized they were penetrating the wrong thing (sperm!

gotta love'em! lol). I did clomid, along with a trigger injection and

US with insemination of my hubby's sperm and we got pregnant 1st try.

Clomid made me gain about 20# and made me grouchy as heck, but I've

got a beautiful baby boy to show for it~! (look at my profile

picture). So what's 20# when you get so much in return???

Hopefully, all you need is a little clomid boost and some

progesterone supplement!

I wish you all the luck and also hope that clomid is all you need!

From the sounds of your prgoesterone level, I would say your OB will

keep a close check on that for you. I had my blood drawn on day 3 of

my cycle and also on day 21. If your progesterone is low, generally

they will put you on progesterone supplements (vag suppositories are

helpful to some).
