You are correct. I spoke to the GI doctor today and he said that

Biaxin and the Flagyl that Max is taking can both make him nauseous.

But he needs the meds to get rid of what has turned out to be a

massive infection. If he stops the meds, then Max will still have

the infection and it could become resistant to antibiotics

altogether.

Today, at the GI's advice, I am taking Max to the Mind and Body

Institute that he helped start. There is a nurse there who

specializes in kids with chronic medical difficulties and can help

teach Max how to cope with this. Max already sees a psychologist,

but this person is supposed to be someone who will address the

medical part of it as well as the psychological - sort of a

biofeedback sort of thing. It's worth a try. They are supposed to

have a whole support group going on there, too. At this point, we

will do anything. If Max continues to throw up, he will be back in

the hospital - and we do not want that!
