Guest guest
I am glad I'm not the only one.. I haven't tried to make an appointment with Dr. Mosca yet - I guess I better do so if I want her seen any time soon! I can't believe he told you to let your little baby CIO...he always seems so nice, but I agree, sometimes he doesn't rememberwho we are - even when we were going in every week or two. Now maybe he's like me - I can never remember faces and names, but he's got a cheat sheet - Livi's chart. Great point though - if he saw us in the halls, he probably would have no clue who we are!! Guest guest
We saw Dr. Schmale again yesterday. Again, didn't know who we were and asked if we were doing 2 feet. Weston had his tenotemy and Dr. Schmale said right before the surgery, " I haven't done one of these in 3 months " . I couldn't believe it... was that supposed to reassure us? He also seemed to have forgotten the previous treatment. I can't wait to see dr. Moska in January!! Lori -------------- Original message -------------- I am glad I'm not the only one.. Guest guest
When we returned to Iowa to first get Everett fixed up, it had been three years since we'd seen Dr. Ponseti (when he worked on )....but HE, this 90 year old man, remembered after 3 years!!!! Guest guest
That is the kind of care we need! I work in healthcare and expect to be treated the same way I treat my patients and families. Guest guest
Lori, Glad to hear you are switching doctors...that is just too much, what could you even say to a doctor like that about his seemingly total lack of care/professionalism? Guest guest
Hi. I don't often post anymore as we are " graduates " and my son is now 4 1/2 years old. He was Dr. Schmale's patient. I am so sad to read about what is happening to him. He sure wasn't like this 4 years ago. He used to call down that long hallway " Evaaaaaan " when we would appear and he treated Evan with such care and consideration. We were his first " in clinic " tenotomy (Dr. Mosca was in attendance too or this would never have happened) and Evan cried like an animal. Afterward, Dr. S. confessed to me that it had really bothered him and that he'd be doing some serious thinking about whether the OR is a better option to avoid the trauma--he was SO caring. Recently we had some concerns about relapse and so I emailed Dr. S and Dr. Mosca and asked them if we could have Mosca have a look too. They were both totally open and while our appt was with Schmale, Mosca came in too. Schmale was talking about future ATTT surg., but Mosca declared the feet still completely corrected and diagnosed femoral torsion and said NO WAY to ATTT surg. I was so grateful that they were willing to work together like this. Dr. Schmale did a wonderful job of casting all through treatment, but Mosca is definitely the expert. I just wanted to share our experience and let you know that these docs are truly a team. I still have their email addresses somewhere...if anyone wants them, I could dig them up. and Evan (8-17-00, bcf, femoral torsion)
Guest guest
I wish we had a similar experience!!! I am glad things went well with your child. I would LOVE both email addresses if possible. That would be so helpful!!! Thanks for your message. Lori -------------- Original message -------------- Hi.
